When I was a child I  had a strong desire to become a father someday.  Now, at
age 30, I have two sons, and another child on the way.  I take my fatherhood
responsibilities very seriously and my commitment to my children influences
every important decision that I make.

As a father, there is much to consider.  How much money do I need to bring in
to support my family?  How much time can I spend away from my family without
jeopardizing their happiness and wellbeing?  Should I be doing something
different in my child-rearing approach?

These types of questions help me to get a better perspective on the events that
are unfolding around me; events that impact my children's lives.  By asking
these kinds of questions I am constantly reviewing and reconsidering my ideas
about what it means to be a father.

So what does it mean to be a father?  How does one know that they are doing
a good job?  Can I be a good father even if my own  father wasn't?  If a man is
uneasy about becoming a father will he inevitably fail as a father?  These are
just a few of the many questions that I hope to address in my "Fatherhood"
website category.  I look forward to sharing my ideas with you.

"Your fatherhood began before you were born.  It is just now that you are
realizing what has always existed within you.  Therefore, there is nothing to fear."
