Last night I decided that I would upload this article by noon today.  But when I
woke up this morning, I realized that I had many household chores to do.  I had
to clean up the house, sweep the floor, wash dishes, and wash diapers.  After
I completed all of these chores, my wife asked if we could take our children to
the lake so that they could see the ducks.  I knew that I could have stayed
home and wrote this article or practiced the piano.  But what is more
important: writing and uploading this article or taking my family to the lake to
see the ducks?  No contest there.  

I think that it is extremely important that fathers regularly ask themselves,
"What is more important?"  The answer is clear for me.  My family is more
important than anything.
