On Saturday I had a late night performance with Kevin Freeby, Dillon Savage,
and Ignacio Arango.  I  didn't get home until 2 a.m.  I woke up on Sunday
morning tired, dehydrated, and a bit sore.  I wanted to sleep in but you really
can't sleep in when you have children running around.  Getting up early wasn't
a bad idea.  There were plenty of things to be done around the house and I
had to run errands.  I also needed to take some DVDs back to my Aunt
Caldonia.  I figured that I could take care of all of these matters in one trip.  But
I needed to get some gas first; I would have gotten gas the night before but I
was too tired after the performance.

When it came time to run my errands I found that my oldest son was taking a
nap.  My younger son Avi was busy crawling around the house.  For some
reason I thought that it might be a good idea to take Avi with me. My wife
thought it was a good idea as well.

After loading up the car, and strapping Avi into his car seat, I looked at my son
with great pride.  This was to be our first "father-son" trip!  There is something
special about these types of "firsts".  They provide the moments that one can
cherish for a lifetime.  Indeed, this trip would become a memorable one!
