#1  Recent history teaches us that Oscar trophies are only awarded to so
called "black" people whose movie performances perpetuate specific racist
stereotypes about "black" people.  


#2  The Oscar Award Show has an enormous influence upon the so called
"white" populations' perception of reality; influencing and in many cases
reaffirming race-based perceptions about so called "black" people.

These two points are important to think about if we are to understand why a
song, such as "It's Hard out here for pimp", can be awarded an Oscar and can
be given a performance slot at the Oscar awards show.  I think that it would be
fitting for me to add the following pictures:
