I got very little sleep on Friday night because my oldest son kept waking up
crying.  In order to get him back to sleep I had to turn over onto my back and
lay him on my chest.  It's hard for me to sleep with a two-ton two year old
sleeping on my chest but you do what you have to do.

On Saturday morning my wife asked,  "Don't you think we should keep the
kids home?" I replied, "Yes we should, if we want to be good parents that is."

Although we were looking forward to attending Saturday and Sunday's
birthday parties, my wife and I thought it best that we keep the children home.
Sure, my wife and I would have enjoyed ourselves at the family gathering but
at what expense?  The point is this, as parents, there is nothing more
important than our children's well-being.  If we have to make sacrifices in
order to keep our children healthy and happy then so be it.  Parenting requires
sacrifice and dedication.  And to these principles we remain steadfast.  Get
well soon my sons.
