I’m 22. I’ve been shaving since I was about 15. I taught myself how to shave because I didn’t have my father around to teach me. I’m pretty experienced now, but I still found these videos informative. Thanks for taking the time to share this information.

Very beneficial…Especially the part about the warm towel and analyzing the direction of the hair. Just recently I decided not to shave against the grain…At least for time being, because I always got ingrown hairs…
Funny thing is…It’s like the more blades a razor has the more ‘damage’ it does…My barber always uses a single blade and I never experience any irritation afterwards…

Excellent point Gerson. I remember I used a razor that had 3 blades on it!!! My skin was so irritated that I never used that razor again. The one I use now has 2 blades on it but I compensate by not applying much pressure while shaving. Also I only apply pressure when I am shaving with the grain. When I shave against the grain I do not apply any pressure at all. This is the safest way to get a closer shave without irritating the skin or getting hair bumps.

    I think I’m doing somethin wrong though…
    Maybe it’s my razor…The Gillette Fusion…This one has 5 blades, lol…
I used a hot towel and tried to get a closer shave and until yesterday there were no problems..I even paid more attention to my face and put some aftershave every morning…
But today…Bumps and humps…I should definitely go out and buy another razor…See how that works out…
Again, thanks for these insights…Your works inspire me to be on top of my game, spiritually and physically…

Greetings Gerson. I think you should try a different razoe out. 5 blades? That’s like shaving 5 times with each stroke. I tried the Gillete razor that had 3 blades on it and it was way too much for my skin. So I use the one with 2 blades. Some people are best served with using a razor with one blade. Also you can try out different shaving creams and jells. A friend of mine told me that he uses olive oil to shave which is interesting. I have never tried that before. After you try some other razors please let me know how things go for you. Peace and blessings Gerson.
