Well it looks like we are now at the top 2 television shows on my list.  Here’s a quick review:

#10 Babylon 5

#9 Matlock

#8  Star Trek the Next Generation

#7 The Cosby Show

#6 Star Trek The Original

#5 The Prisoner

#4 Alfred Hitcock

#3 Star Trek Deep Space 9

2. Lost  (2004 – 2010)

Lost is the most twisted television series that I have ever seen.  I had not even heard about the series until September of 2011 while I was in Salt Lake City, Utah.  Yes ladies and gentleman I was in Utah; the land of the Mormons!!!

My trip to Utah had nothing to do with Mormonism.  I traveled to Utah for Sean’s wedding; Sean is the web designer here at lenonhonor.com.  Sean is great, his wife is great, and their wedding was awesome!  I played flute at the wedding and I had a great time; well except for the little boy that kept standing next to me while I was playing the flute.  The little boy had a bottle filled with bubble solution.  For some reason he kept blowing bubbles on me.  Later the little boy, who was one of Sean’s relatives, told me that I looked cooler playing the flute with bubbles floating around me.  I don’t know, maybe it’s a Utah kind of thing but I just went with it so as not to upset anyone.

Anyway I’m driving around with Sean’s dad Ken and we are talking about all kinds of things; especially about the Mormons.  At some point Ken brings up the television series Lost and recommends that I check it out.  When I get back to California I look online to see if I can find anything about the show Lost.  After reading some online reviews about the show I thought, “What is this, a modern day Gilligan’s Island?”

After 4 days I received an email from Ken and while emailing him back I had the strange feeling that I needed to look for more information about Lost.  So I searched for a few more days and on the 8th day I found out that there was a Lost video game.  A Lost video game?

So I thought about it for 15 minutes and on the 16th minute I told myself that I would see what the television show was all about.  So I searched 23 websites for 42 minutes and then I found all of the Lost episodes online.  By that time I was really tired so I went to sleep.  But while I was sleeping I kept seeing the numbers:

4

8

15

16

23

42

Over and over again.

So I told my wife Ayida about the dream and she suggested that we watch just one episode of Lost.  Big mistake!

All I can say is that if you don’t like to get addicted to things then don’t watch Lost.  In fact, if you don’t want to get lost in the most twisted plotline of all time, then don’t watch Lost.  This television series is incredibly

addictive and the characters are hilariously pathetic.  Here is a quick review of some of the recurring dialogue in the show:

Kate: “I will go with whichever man has the most power at any given time.”

Jack:  “I am going to fix everything dammit!”

John:  “Hello Jack.  It’s good to see you again.”

Hurley:  “Dude.”

Sayid:  “I am a bad man.  A very bad man.”

Ana-Lucia:  “Freeze!!!”

Claiere:  “Where is my baby?!!”

Michael:  “Give me back my son!”

Walt:  “You’re not my dad!”

Jin:  “Button up your top button now!”

Sun:  “I love you Jin.”

Richard:  “Como se dese eyeliner en Espanol.”

Desmond:  “I love you brotha’.”

Miles:  “I hear dead people.”

Juliet:  “I am so annoying to the Honor family.”  (My wife and I can’t stand Juliet.  She is soooo annoying)

Eko:  “Jesus Christ it’s the big black smoke!”

Rousseau Aka Provocation:  “They struck without provocation!!!” – See Babylon 5

Ben:  “I am a psychopathic brat and a perpetual liar too.”

Charlie:  “You are everybody…..”

Sawyer:  “Son of a bitch!”

My Bitter Conclusion:

If you have a lot of things to do then don’t watch Lost.  If you don’t have a lot of things to do then don’t watch Lost.  Trust me, once you start watching Lost you won’t be able to stop.  Lost is the most addictive television show of all time.  And those numbers, those horrid numbers!  4  8  15  16  23  42!  Push the Freakin’ Button NOW!!!!

My favorite Lost character: Ben Linus – The Psychopathic Bloodthirsty Pathological Liar

The 3 most violent characters: Sayid Jarrah, Ben Linus, and Ana Lucia aka “Psycho Cop”

The top 3 annoying characters: 1. Juliet  2. Shannon  3. Michael aka Kunta Kente

The 3 creepiest characters:  1.  Ben Linus  2.  Ethan  3.  Danielle Rousseau aka Provocation

The most confused character on Lost:  Kate Austin

The most hilarious Lost scene:  Any scene with the song “You all everybody!”

The most frightening Lost scene:  Any scene with the Big Black Smoke Monster

The most confusing thing about Lost:  Everything

The most ridiculous thing about Lost:  The Hatch, the Button, the Black Rock Ship, the Others, the other Others, and the other other’s others.

Wow, did i waste some time contemplating “LOST”. Thankfully i started watching it after the first 3 seasons had aired, so didn’t waste 7 YEARS of my life!!! I still spent far too much time in arrested development due to this TV show. Lots of questions and never any answeres. I suppose thats one definition of being lost that many people can relate to. Enjoyable and intriguing at times but overall a very deliberately confusing and frustrating “program”.

I’m still not sure if i’m glad a watched it. I hope i never decide to watch it again lol.

It was deliberately confusing. I think that sums it all up nicely. At a certain point I found myself watching just to see what happens in the end. In other words I felt labored in viewing the show, it was like I had to watch just so that I wouldn’t miss anything leading up to the ending. I can say that I am glad that I watched it because it provided my wife and I some down time which is rare. However I do not recommend that people watch it if they already have their down time filled up with other things. This show is a massive time commitment for “You All Everybody!!!!” 😉

Thanks for the warning. I have another one: Quantum Leap. Have you seen the series?

P.S. Did you play those numbers?

    • Lenon Honor says:

Yeah Qunatum was a great show too. Unfortunately it does not make my list, although it could. As for those numbers, I did not play them but Hurley did! -lol

  3. Sean says:

I knew you would like it Sean. Be sure to let your father check out my top 5. I had a fun time writing this and Ayida and I finished Lost last night. Thank goodness!
